The Lancet apologizes for article against chloroquine

Like the World Health Organization, the scientific journal The Lancet went public after retrieving an article against the use of chloroquine. This week, the British newspaper The Guardian reported that the American company Surgisphere provided incorrect data for the survey, which was taken down.
In an article published on Friday (5), The Lancet said it has always wanted to conduct research in accordance with the highest ethical and professional guidelines.
Aware of the responsibility, the researchers said they could no longer guarantee the veracity of the study's data sources in the face of complaints against Surgisphere.
